Scaling an AI-driven workforce platform past $1M ARR with 95% retention.

The brief. Build the product, customer success and integration strategy for an AI platform connecting learners, education institutions, employers and workforce agencies. Make it work at the scale of public funding — where uptime, accuracy and auditability matter as much as features.

The work. Defined and streamlined a human-in-the-loop AI process using multiple LLMs so the team could scale operations without trading away quality. Managed the due-diligence, acquisition and post-merger integration of an outcomes-tracking product in the education market. Oversaw integrations across Stripe (payments), Salesforce (CRM) and Ellucian (ERP), pushing and pulling data via REST APIs to match client requirements. Built a cohesive onshore + near-shore cross-functional team empowered to make decisions.

Consolidating two consumer banks carrying 100M+ visits per month.

The brief. Lead the program that migrated Wachovia's consumer banking customers onto Wells Fargo's web platform after the acquisition — without losing them along the way.

The work. Coordinated cross-functional teams through the merger of two of the largest US bank consumer websites. Led a parallel process re-engineering effort to reduce costs and shorten timelines for ongoing product delivery. Drove a platform migration to SDL Tridion as the new web content management foundation, acting as the bridge between business and engineering teams and owning senior-stakeholder updates. Conceptualized and rolled out product revisions in response to regulatory changes including debit-card pricing and student loans.

Doubling major US customers for a UK AI personalization firm.

The brief. Stand up the US business for an AI media-recommendation and personalization company — sales, account management, product, partnerships — and turn cross-media personalization from a thesis into a category.

The work. Negotiated and managed accounts across multiple media verticals including Warner Bros, Vudu, Fuhu, Intel and IVA. Engaged consultatively to design location- and time-based personalization for TV manufacturers, cable services, networks, tablets and mobile devices. Re-wrote the market-facing product documentation so client product and engineering teams could integrate without long professional-services tails. Maintained day-to-day cohesion with the UK-based ops and engineering team through the time-zone gap.

The brief. Take a consumer-finance browser technology — bill payment, card management and online shopping — through v2.0, growing usage and proving partner economics with Visa, American Express and Chase.

The work. Owned product roadmap, requirements, release schedule, UX and the budget that backed them. Drove community and retention initiatives, addressed support load, and oversaw launches with Visa, American Express and Chase. Shipped v2.0 to critical acclaim — PC Magazine's Editors' Choice and a Webby Honoree.

A $25M program protecting $2.8B in outsourcing benefits across 120,000 staff.

The brief. Sell and lead a program that lifted the in-house IT capability of a UK welfare institution so it could realize the benefits of newly outsourced contracts — and roll out the change plan to a workforce of 120,000.

The work. Designed and led the IT Transformation Program. Advised on the change management plan and rolled it out across the organization, reporting to board level on progress. Product-managed the business-intelligence suite that approved, analyzed and forecast IT purchasing across the country — controlling $2.4B in spend annually. Negotiated and managed relationships with strategic and technology partners. Structured the program for development of the public-sector IT strategy and realignment across the 20,000-person organization, aligned with Deloitte's global outsourcing proposition.

Running the operating engine of a $5B program to digitize UK public health records.

The brief. Manage the operations and financials of the requirements team inside one of the largest public-sector IT programs ever attempted — the digitization of UK public health records, delivered with British Telecom.

The work. Ran the operations and financials of a 50-person requirements team. Directed PMO processes — financial, risk, change — across a matrix organization, managed a $20M budget, evaluated business processes and worked across departments to streamline the software-development lifecycle.

Launching the first online brokerage in the UK — and cutting customer maintenance 40%.

The brief. Lead the launch of Charles Schwab Europe's online brokerage — and, separately, the implementation of a new customer-relationship product for online brokerage customers in the US.

The work. Led teams of 5–10 people through infrastructure enhancements, multi-language extensions, new features and benchmarking across Schwab's Electronic Brokerage sites. Initiated a move to Java to shorten time-to-market and reduce ongoing costs. Coordinated internal and external development teams (Wipro) to deliver a new CRM on schedule despite ongoing layoffs and restructuring. Managed analysis and resolution of production issues with IBM and Cisco.

Launch the very first online banking system in the world.

The brief. Build and support the systems that would let Wells Fargo customers access their accounts over the internet — at a moment in the mid-90s when most banks were still arguing about whether the web mattered.

The work. Built and supported the systems that made online customer-account access real, working through the unfamiliar trade-offs of an entirely new channel: security model, customer authentication, integration with the bank's core, operational handoffs, and the support patterns required to run something the rest of the industry didn't yet know how to run. The resulting platform became one of the foundational pieces of Wells Fargo's online presence — and reduced ongoing maintenance costs by more than a quarter.

Building the data-collection backbone for IBM's Advanced Semiconductor Technology Center.

The brief. Stand up the on-site engagement at IBM's ASTC: design, build and support the data-collection systems that captured information from the semiconductor manufacturing lines — where accuracy and reliability were not negotiable, and where downstream yield and quality decisions depended on the data being right.

The work. Managed an on-site team of six engineers designing, testing and developing applications running on top of IBM's micro-kernel product. Owned resourcing, delivery and the day-to-day client relationships across IBM and EDS. Designed and developed the data-collection systems that ran against the manufacturing lines themselves, feeding the analytics that informed yield, quality and throughput decisions at one of the most demanding manufacturing environments in the world.
